⏳ How to remove a load from the Trip Builder

Sometimes certain loads just don't fit as good as other loads. The total pay may look fine, but the detour could be larger, or the instructions could mean spending more time at one location. The bottom line is -- sometimes it's best to skip on a good load to maximize the trip's revenue.

Oftentimes, however, a few prospects could appear good enough for one spot.

So this article will show you how to use the Trip Vault to remove a load temporarily, or how to get rid of them for good.

What is the Trip Vault?

As you know, when you add a load to your trip, it first goes into the Trip Vault before you arrange the order of your stops in the Trip Build. So the existence of the Trip Vault allows you to use it as a pocket to set aside loads you would want temporarily excluded from your Trip Plan.

💬 Tip: By utilizing the Trip Vault, you can easily set aside loads and experiment with different load combinations to optimize your trip.

Moving a Load from the Trip Build back into your Vault

Removing a load from the Trip Build with the ✖️ button moves the load back into your Vault. This allows you to pick another load on its place, and see if it makes more sense for your schedule. Here is how it's done:

  1. Open your Trip Builder in Ship.Cars.

  2. Locate the load you want to remove from your Trip Build to the left.

  3. Click on the ✖️ icon that will appear next to the load as you hover it.

  4. The load will now be moved back to your Trip Vault, allowing you to experiment with other loads in its place.

Removing a Load from the Trip Vault

This effectively removes the load from the Trip entirely, so you wouldn't be able to see it in your Build again (unless you add it to the Trip again later). To do so:

  1. Locate the load you want to remove, and make sure it is removed from your Trip Build, and moved to your Vault.

  2. Click on the 🗑️ icon next to the load.

  3. The load will now be removed from the trip entirely, and you won't be able to see it in your Trip Build, nor in your trip's Report unless you add it back later.

Alternative Methods for Removing Loads

There are two additional methods for removing loads from a trip:

  1. From the Loadboard, make sure you have the Trip Mode OFF (or that you are working on the posting's trip if it is ON), then next to the posting, and click on the "Remove From Trip" button.

  2. Transfer the load from one trip to another. This one is too obvious for the purpose of this article, but take a look at this article to learn more about the Use of Trip Mode.

Drop us a line in the chat should you have any trouble (re)moving loads around.
