If you have carriers or brokers you work with directly, use this guide to assign orders to them via Inventory Management.
1. Click on Inventory Management in the navigation sidebar.
2. Check the box for vehicle(s) for which you want to assign to a carrier.
3. Click Choose Action > Create New Load.
4. The New Load screen opens with the information from Inventory Management pre-populated. Ensure that
all the information is accurate and fill in any missing details, including Pickup and Delivery contacts,
vehicle information, dates, etc.
5. In the Carrier section, you can search by Carrier Name or US DOT Number to assign the desired carrier.
6. In the Payment section, define the Total Carrier Pay, Type, Payment Terms and Payment Method. (You can also use the Suggest Rate button to generate a predictive rate based on the market average and similar loads posted on the market.)
7. If you have an agreed upon rate with the assigned carrier, you can choose Use Contract Price to calculate and populate the Total Carrier Pay based on the load information provided above and the rates set up in the Contract Pricing screen.
8. Once all information is entered, click Post > Dispatch to Carrier in the top-right corner of the screen to dispatch the load to the selected carrier.
The Loads screen opens and the status will change to Carrier Pending. Once the carrier has accepted the load, the status
will change to Carrier Assigned, then Picked Up and finally, Delivered. Click See Details for the full order details.
If the vehicle does not exist in Inventory Management for any reason, a load can be created manually using the Add Load screens.
1. Click Add Load on the navigation sidebar.
2. Fill in all information for the order, including Pickup and Delivery contacts, vehicle information, dates, carrier,
carrier pay, etc. as described in steps 4-6 on the previous pages.
3. Click Post > Dispatch to Carrier in the top-right corner of the screen to dispatch the load to the selected carrier.
